Oaks Students is a ministry for students in grades 6-12.

Our Mission

To model and invite students to live in the way of Jesus.

Our Vision and Core Values

Cultivate identity, belonging, and purpose in Jesus through mentoring relationships.

  • Identity - Who am I?
  • Belonging - Where do I fit?
  • Purpose - What difference do I make in the world?
Key Components of Oaks Students Events
  • Fun - We want to provide active space for students to have enjoyment.  This will be expressed in structured and unstructured portions of our events.
  • Space for personal engagement - These are unstructured times usually early at events and at the end to make connections and get to know each other.  This is a great time to learn about events in students' lives that you can participate in (games, plays, or etc).
  • Structured interaction - This is time for small groups and prepared questions derived from our core values as a ministry.  We want the questions to be influenced by the ideas of identity, belonging, and purpose.  This is an integral part of each event.
  • Teaching - We will have some teaching from the Bible or something regarding practicing our faith as Christians.  We want our students to engage with the Bible and help them cultivate the practice of engaging with God’s Word.
