Our Elders

The Oaks is led by a plurality of elders who are responsible for pastoring, teaching, leading and providing oversight of the church. Elders are qualified men according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 who are called by God to serve as pastors within The Oaks. They love Jesus and the people of this church deeply and are committed to Biblically faithful and Christ honoring leadership.

Our Deacons

Deacons are leaders within our church body that serve as the "hands and feet" of The Oaks. They are men and women who meet the qualifications of a deacon specified in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Our deacons serve in many areas within The Oaks, leading ministry teams that seek to meet needs both inside and outside the church. Deacons set the pace for service by devoting much of their time and energy to serve faithfully and selflessly. After being asked and prayerfully accepting, a deacon candidate will enter a training process with their direct ministry leader.

The deacon process involves learning and being assessed in an understanding of the gospel, an understanding of the qualifications and role of the deacon in the local church, and their unique gifts and calling in ministry. If you would like to enter into this process, there is a more detailed "road map" that we'd love to share with you. Contact us and we will schedule a time for you to meet with a pastor.
