COMMUNITY SPAGHETTI DINNER | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18
Save the date and spread the word! This all-church event is our attempt to meet a physical need of our neighbors by providing a warm meal, and a relational need by inviting them into our church and to Jesus himself. We'll need your help pulling it off! Opportunities to serve include set-up and tear-down, preparing food in advance, table discussion leaders, kids craft and game planners facilitators, and helping to guide the vision and execution of the event. Sign-up at the Connect Table or email email@example.com. More details to come!
HOW TO STUDY YOUR BIBLE | SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17
We speak regularly of the vitality of the Word of God in the daily lives of Christians - but how do we get started? What does it mean to study your Bible, and how do we do it? Join Pastor Barry on Sunday, November 17 from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM (during the second service) for booster shot for your personal devotional time. We’ll be meeting in the 4s and 5s room. Register online here.
ADVENT EVENSONG | SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1
The season of Advent is upon us! We're thrilled to invite you to our annual Advent Evensong, an evening of singing, community & celebration.
On Sunday, December 1, we'll be gathering at 6:00pm at The Oaks Community Church. We'll sing beloved carols, enjoy a special performance of The Night that Love was Born by our very own Jessica Rivera Shafer, and spend some time in community afterward. We'll have a hot chocolate bar and a children's craft.
This is a family-friendly event (children are invited to the service), so The Oaks Kids will not be open. We look forward to singing and celebrating with you!
WEDNESDAY MORNING PRAYER
Each Wednesday morning, we'll be gathering at 6:00am for a brief (30 minute) time of prayer. Come with your coffee and join us as we enjoy the presence of God together.
To help you prepare for our weekly gatherings, we've put together this weekly playlist containing the songs we'll be singing together this coming Sunday. Take a listen to prime your heart and mind to worship.
We've also put together a brand new playlist for autumn with songs to sing as we settle back into rhythms we may have set aside for the summer. We pray these songs are a blessing to you!
