Call to Worship
Reading from Psalm 118
This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place.
The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
The Lord is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His love endures forever.
Song of Adoration : How Great Thou Art
Prayer of Confession & Lament
Merciful God, you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you. We humbly confess our sins and ask your mercy.
We have not loved you with a pure heart, nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not done justice, loved kindness, or walked humbly with you, our God. Have mercy on us, O God, according to your unfailing love. In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin.
Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.
We pray your renewal in our families, our church, our city, and over all the earth. Do not cast us from your presence, or take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation and sustain us with your bountiful Spirit through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
—based on Psalm 51:10-12
Song of Confession & Lament : Beautiful, Scandalous Night
Prayer of Assurance & The Lord's Prayer
Song of Reflection & Celebration: Give Reviving
May The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you; and may peace be with you.
